So many things
Let's see - my play has a director. There was a meeting last Wed. for writers and potential directors, during which we all had one minute of our plays read out and then sat around waiting for directors to approach us. Brought back not-so-fond memories of school dances. Interesting how to see how it will progress from here - apparently it's better if the writers stay away from rehearsals!
A note for those who do live locally and would like to come to see the play - tickets look like they're going to be limited (six plays a night, so about 30 people involved in them and even if they only buy four tickets each, it will fill the space). I'll let you know as soon as I know the date and how to book.
For those who don't live locally, I've been told I can film the play, probably during the technical rehearsal.
Ian has mostly recovered from his shingles. His allotment planting is continuing apace.
The high temperatures have continued, with a bit of a break for the last week or so. All the flowering trees have been out, and the wisteria - the pale lavender colour looks lovely against white buildings. And the scent of all those plants in flower...
Amelia 'read' a word today - Tesco! (It's the name of a big supermarket chain.) She saw it on a toy horse she has this morning and again on a piece of junk mail, and asked me what istsaid. Then later, she saw it again and recognised it. Perhaps a comment on the society we live in - or maybe our parenting skills.
Summer travel plans have been confirmed - the same dates I e-mailed around earlier. I will be back in touch individually with more details. (Sorry, Kenda for not answering your e-mail yet. Lynda, I'm trying to work out the logistics of coming to see you. Could you please remind me how long it takes to drive from Mississauga to your new place?)
All for now...
