I am listed in the current edition of Canadian
Who’s Who, published by the University of Toronto Press.
My nonfiction piece “Reflections” was
named to the final shortlist of six for the prestigious Maclean
Hunter Endowment Award for Literary Nonfiction, 2002. The award
is administered by PRISM International literary magazine, which
is affiliated with the respected creative writing program at the
University of British Columbia.
I was a finalist in the Emerging Literary Artist
category of the 2002 Mississauga Arts Awards. Awards were presented
to locally-based emerging and established artists in five categories:
music, literary, performing arts individual, performing arts group,
and new media.
Two of my short stories have won awards:
• The End of the Game won first
prize in the adult category of the Mississauga Library Systems
Annual Writing Contest.
